What is Yoga and the Benefits of Yoga
I started to look into Yoga recently and was wondering how I could benefit. I didn’t want to know the History of Yoga, just how to perform it and what are the Benefits of Yoga. I purchased a couple of Yoga Guides to bring me up to speed as well as some basic Yoga Equipment. Everyone knows that regular exercise will help you with your weight, but will it really help you with your mind too? So far, going to the gym and working out next to a nice slim person (not that I am overweight, but I will never be a size 2) doesn’t do too much for my mind. Yoga teaches us that we each have a spiritual dimension that we can tap into. Yoga Teachers say that Dieting will reduce weight temporarily, but Yoga will lose weight permanently (that would be nice!). Also, Yoga is known to improve overall health and builds resistance to disease. Another reason for me to start Yoga is because my back is always in pain. I’ve heard that after doing Yoga for awhile you start to realign your body, I’m looking forward to walking with a little more ease.
